Duties and Responsibilities
|
|
|
The purpose of this position is to serve Consumers who are elderly, developmentally disabled, traumatically brain injured, physically disabled or mentally ill. Personal Care Workers are required to provide for the health, safety and welfare of Consumers by following established procedures and techniques as taught/established in Personal Care Worker Training and other Lori Knapp Companies Trainings.

To assist the Consumer(s) in the Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as indicated from the Plan of Care, Individualized Service Plan, Medicare Flow Sheets or other related plans. Ability to communicate with Consumers using techniques specific to each Consumers ability. To prepare and provide well balanced and nutritious meals as appropriate per each Consumer. Provide a safe, clean environment for Consumers Follow the designated procedures for record keeping, reporting payroll, and logging on Consumer task sheets and the like. To abide by any written care plans such as, Doctors Orders, Individual Service Plans, any treatment plans, and other orders as indicated. Assist Consumer(s), as necessary, with transfer needs as indicated per each Consumer. Assist with or administer medications to Consumer(s), as necessary, with prescribed oral, g-tube, optical, rectal, topical and others medications under the written direction of Physician, but only if specifically trained and instructed to do so.
